68. Ripple Effect of Love in the Classroom Part 1 w/Dawn Rowe

If you've been curious about bringing the Kingdom of Heaven into your classroom or how to set up a classroom culture to host Love Himself (Jesus) in your teaching space, you've just come across a gold mine! Teacher Dawn Rowe from Washington State comes to us with a passion to equip and encourage Christian Teachers wanting to share the revelation of Jesus with their students but haven't known how. She's done extensive study with Jamie and Donna Winship from Identity Exchange and her book The Ripple Effect of Love in the Classroom has been inspired by her 37 years of teaching experience and more recently grabbing a hold of tools that give her the ability to help her students learn their true identities.
 
 
In Part 1 we explore a number of resources including Footprints On Campus which encourages us to grab a hold of community members to begin the year praying for our students and our campuses! And don't forget to ask intercessors to pray for your individual students as prayer will change everything. Also, consider hosting a Bible Club this year and pray about what curriculum might be best for your students-- Good News Club and First Priority Club are being used by many of our friends from Christian Educators. The bulk of our time is spent with Dawn sharing the power of speaking life over students and literally saving lives through the regular use of "Spotlight Effect," her school's Prey Pride Awards, and Parent Postcards. 66. Called to Minister to NEW Teachers w/Michelle Keso

Michelle Keso is a Christian Teacher like you and me. She loved her teaching community, but often felt isolated not having many of like-minded faith. God drew her to pour out into her students just like you and me... to minister to her colleagues and she's had many opportunities in her training positions to do so, but when she drew near retirement she chose to REFIRE rather than retire. In this episode, Michelle shares her passion for raising up this next generation of NEW teachers with the understanding that they are not alone, that Christ emboldens and strengthens them to do the work of the ministry in our schools. They believe they are called and she is helping to equip them. Many of us, too, have had a passion to pour into and encourage our newer teacher colleagues. Listen in to hear the keys to truly coming alongside our newer colleagues (believers or not) who truly need our honest and open experience, authentic feedback, and frequent encouragement through scriptures (even without addresses!) to fuel the mission they are called to be on as a teacher. 65. Contending for Your Promises

Who has a promise you're still waiting to come to fruition?! I'm sure your raising at least one hand, right? Holding onto our promises is one thing, but contending for them is a step further. As friends of God, He invites us to converse with Him about our words... 1. Remind ourselves of our prophetic words, 2. speak of the things God has already done to stir up our faith (testimonies), 3. worship Him in the waiting so that we posture ourselves to seek His heart first, and 4. step out in faithful obedience.

WARNING: Not every season turns out, or "rolls," like we think it will. As educators, we know this truth all too well, right? Our classrooms, our lessons, our students... don't always roll like we had planned... but we do have a choice in the matter. You may be asking, "What do you mean?" 59. Kingdom Identity Comes with Authority

How do I respond when I see kids acting abnormally and I think it's demonically derived, not just "normal" spectrum behavior? How do I respond when weird things-- even phenomena happen on my campus?At its simplest roots we walk onto our job sites knowing Jesus has already won over sin death and the grave and because we're seated with Him in heavenly places we have indeed won too. In fact, we have the robes of righteousness to prove it. We are seated above all principalities powers and dominion and that Jesus has won over sin, sickness, and the grave. The enemy is under His feet and if I am seated in Him, which is what Ephesians 2:6 says, then the enemy is under my feet, too. The enemy of my soul is subject to me. In fact, Jesus said he gave His disciples the keys to the Kingdom, and we're included! We are ambassadors representing Him as the light and life on the earth. Everyday we get to execute the realities of the Kingdom here on earth in our classrooms, at our schools, in our communities!
Listen in for the practical examples and biblical backing for how we can utilize our God given authority everyday in our classrooms for the Kingdom to rule and reign in our classrooms.
